Mena Alexa Suvari was born on the 29th of September, 1979. She is an American fashion designer, model and actress. She started her modeling career in 1990 and soon moved to acting after appearances in television shows such as Boy Meets World or High Incident. Her film debut was in 1997's drama Nowhere. Her transition into major roles with her performances in American Beauty for which she received nominations for a BAFTA Award and American Pie and American Pie, both of which gained her wider attention. After that, she was as a co-star in Loser (2000) along with the American Pie co-star Jason Biggs and later played the main character in the comedy Sugar & Spice (2001). Spun, an independent drama released in 2002 as well as the suspense film Trauma (2004) are her two most recent appearances. She appeared in HBO's dramatic series Six Feet Under. In 2004, she was recognized as the Outstanding Cast Member at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2008, she was cast in a series of movies such as Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh as well as the adaptation film of The Garden of Eden.
